34" Wooden Ninja Bokken
A Bokken is a wooden sword usually used for sword training. When a student begins to work with a sword, he learns basic maneuvers with a Bokken. However, the Bokken can also be used as an effective weapon since it is made of strong, heavy wood. In fact, many Ninja preferred to use the Bokken on a mission than a regular sword.
The reasons for this are that a Bokken is lighter and easier to carry, there is no risk of cutting oneself, Bokken are very easy to camouflage since they can be stained or painted, and, when using proper techniques, a Bokken can easily break bones and damage internal organs. Synthetic Bokken / Bokuto
We are pleased to introduce the Black Synthetic Bokken, a safe and practical alternative to wooden swords that are used in various martial arts. The pieces are made using a very special synthetic material that virtually eliminates the problems and safety dangers that occur with wooden pieces. This synthetic material is shock resistant, and will not crack or splinter. For all common training contact it will hold its form. Only with heavy contact will it slightly dent or bend. Swords made from this material have been used against wooden weapons with great success.
As with wooden or steel weapons this is a solid training tool and should be treated as such. Only use with proper supervision.
